Kim Mohr founded Dream House Studios in Annapolis in 2005 with a distinct vision. With over two decades of experience in full-service residential design, Kim leads the firm's most complex projects, including custom homes and landmark renovations. Every decision she makes, from structural details to the placement of a lamp, influences the character of the finished home.

Her work draws inspiration from classic architecture and traditional materials but is always grounded in the realities of family life. She considers how families gather, move through spaces, and reach for things every day. Clients and collaborators alike appreciate her steady, clear, and deeply knowledgeable approach, which makes the complex design process feel manageable and leads to an inevitable and satisfying end result.

PHASE I
Programming & Schematic Design
We begin by immersing ourselves in your home, your lifestyle, and your vision. Through careful listening and close collaboration with your architect, we develop a conceptual framework that shapes the flow, function, and feeling of your interiors from the ground up.
PHASE II
Design Development & Documentation
Concepts become fully resolved design visions. We curate finishes, materials, furnishings, and fixtures into a cohesive whole — then translate every decision into precise technical drawings and specifications that guide the build with clarity.
PHASE III
Construction Administration
We remain present throughout construction — coordinating with your builder, making decisions as they arise, and ensuring that design integrity is preserved from groundbreaking to the final walk-through. Our clients never navigate this alone.
PHASE IV
The vision becomes a home. We oversee every detail of installation and final styling — furniture placement, art hanging, finishing touches — delivering a space that feels complete, curated, and ready to live in from the moment you walk through the door.
