What we do
Interior merchandising is more than just furnishing and decorating a home. It is a critical marketing tool to connect with your home buyer. Interior merchandisers combine their interior design knowledge with specialized marketing tools to help you sell your homes. Their designs focus on a specific target market and the needs and desires that that buyer is looking for in their new home.

In our initial meeting with a builder, we provide a floor plan review along with discussing any considerations or concerns that the builder may have about the project. We do a market study to research your potential buyer’s education, employment, lifestyle and schools. The market study also reviews your competition to find out how their product compares to yours and how they have presented themselves to the market. We review this with you to make sure that we are all in agreement as to the needs of the buyer.

Our presentations show you the custom design that we created just for your project. Once the project is started we work along with all of your subcontractors and we include electrical, drywall and trim walk-through. After the installation we track the sales of your homes to make sure that we have connected with your buyer. Even in this down market our builders have continued to have impressive sales and we have the numbers to prove it! Choosing us to design your project is money well spent.

Dream House Studios is owned by three of its designers, Kim Mohr, Erin Olexia and Cathleen Williams. We started the company because we love what we do and we feel that we can do it better than anyone else. That means that we have a vested interest in every project and it directly reflects our name. We do not repeat designs, reuse furniture or factory design our projects. We create a ‘WOW’ factor for your home. Your potential buyers must have a memorable experience when touring your home or they will not be motivated to buy. The design must not overpower the home or be overly themed. It should be inviting, comfortable, livable and fun in order for the customer to relax and envision themselves living in that home. Purchasing a home is an emotional experience and that is how we connect with your buyer.

Our customer service is just as important as our design. We build very close relationships with our clients throughout the process. We are in constant contact with the job supervisors and marketing professionals. At anytime you can call our office and have a person not only answer your call but they will know of the project that you are calling about. We want to be an integral part of your marketing team throughout the process.
